Building Win-Win Partnerships

Because sustainability touches every discipline and every sector of our economy, the Sustainability Institute will be working with many different types and sizes of organizations to support its mission.

Our partners provide real-world content and help drive the structure of this innovative training program. Systems thinking and problem solving with a “sustainability lens” are critical skills for entry-level hires to drive innovation and growth for their employers. Our partners are the critical link between classrooms and the workplace. In addition to partners in the private sector, leaders in government agencies and nongovernment organizations will be engaged for insight and feedback on the institute’s educational programs.

Together, we can transition undergraduate students into young professionals who are ready to tackle our world’s toughest challenges.

Benefits to Partnership:

  • Gain direct access to high-quality, workplace-ready students for seasonal internships, hands-on projects, and entry-level positions
  • Reduce on-boarding training costs to develop needed skill sets and competencies in new hires
  • Strengthen sustainability brand with the institute’s high visibility within university, across the commonwealth, and to the general public
  • Provide philanthropic support that is aligned with corporate goals

Philanthropic giving will support the program’s operating and curriculum development budget, stipends for faculty fellows and students, co-internship projects, student travel, scholarships, and establishing a program endowment. The three primary methods to collaborate with the institute are to lead, partner, and support.

LEADERSHIP TEAM

Corporate Leadership Team members are demonstrated leaders in their industries and provide long-term strategic direction to the institute.

  • Provide philanthropic investments through multi-year pledges to build the institute’s foundation

Engage directly with the institute’s director, faculty fellows, and students through high-impact, strategic collaborations that are a win-win for both organizations

PARTNERS

Corporate Partners are sustainability leaders in the business community and provide insight on necessary skill sets and competencies that are industry specific.

  • Provide substantial philanthropic support through one-time gifts or multi-year commitments
  • Participate in and contribute to the institute’s workshops, panels, co-internship projects, and scholarship awards over the course of at least one academic year
SUPPORTERS

Supporters include any individual or organization that supports our mission to effectively train tomorrow’s workforce.

  • Provide flexible, unrestricted gifts of any amount to strengthen the program and enable growth
  • Organizations providing sizeable gifts will gain access to the student database for talent recruitment
