Promotions and tenure

Aug. 15, 2014 – The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors has granted several college faculty promotions and approvals for tenure. Promotion to professor: William Hopkins, fish and wildlife conservation; Stephen Prisley, forest resources and environmental conservation. Promotion to associate professor with tenure: Susan Day, Kevin McGuire, and Valerie Thomas, forest resources and environmental conservation; Emmanuel Frimpong, fish and wildlife conservation; Henry Quesada-Pineda, sustainable biomaterials. Tenure at current rank of associate professor: Kathleen Alexander, fish and wildlife conservation. Promotion to advanced instructor: David Carroll, geography.
