If you enjoy meeting people and telling them about your major, the College, Virginia Tech, and the experiences you’ve had, you may be just the person to serve as a College of Natural Resources and Environment ambassador. CNRE Ambassadors work closely with The Advising Center to serve as guides and recruiters for prospective students and their parents, represent the College at university-sponsored events such as Open Houses, act as hosts at alumni receptions and events, and help teach several Natural Resources First Year Experience labs.

What will you gain and why should you become a CNRE Ambassador?
  • In-depth knowledge of your College and its Departments
  • Contacts with College and Departmental administrators
  • Leadership opportunities
  • Experience speaking to diverse audiences
  • Networking with alumni and career fair sponsors
  • Free ambassador shirt and official college nametag
  • Opportunities to make a difference within your college and the university

Open to all CNRE students in any major, and freshman are strongly encouraged to apply. Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. To remain in good standing, Ambassadors are expected to participate in the majority of the following recruitment activities (activities marked with an * are mandatory):
