Undergraduate Student

Brittany Schultz

Senior, Natural Resources Conservation

  • Minor: Forestry

I have been interested in the outdoors ever since I was a little kid growing up with a small creek behind my house in Pennsylvania. When I moved to southeastern Virginia during middle school, that changed but didn’t go away. However, it wasn’t until I was already a freshman at Virginia Tech that I found out I could make the outdoors part of my career by joining the College of Natural Resources and Environment.

Now when I am not busy with school, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, preferably outside. Also I like to walk with my dog at different local parks. I am not sure what will happen after I graduate yet, but I have enjoyed several courses centered around kids. Because of this, I have chosen the natural resources education option that aims students towards teaching grades K-6. By choosing this major, I hope to someday be able to insprire children with the same love of outdoors that I had growing up.
