Drew Miller

Major: Environmental Policy and Planning

Expected Graduation Date: May 2017

  • Minors: Natural Resource Recreation + Leadership and Social Change

Drew is in his third year as an Environmental Policy and Planning major with a minor in Natural Resources Recreation at Virginia Tech. Drew’s deep passion for sustainability stems from his desire to provide future generations with a cleaner planet. With this in mind, Drew has been involved in a number of related service and leadership activities including serving as President of Delta Psi Nu Local Leadership Fraternity, Recycling Team Intern for Virginia Tech’s Office of Energy and Sustainability, and merit badge instructor from 2011 to 2012 and area director from 2013 to 2015 for a Boy Scout summer camp. Through his dedication to the Boy Scouts of America, Drew has been the recipient of both the Eagle Scout award and the Vigil Honor award. Drew is hoping to find a summer internship that focuses on sustainability planning, sustainability management, and policy implementation with an employer that has a strong sense of environmental stewardship and a commitment to improving unsustainable practices.
